Governance
Governance
Our commitment to accountability, transparency and responsible management.
M'Intix Wahdek Foundation is committed to operating according to the highest standards of governance for voluntary organizations. The principles below reflect the Foundation's approach to accountability, transparency and responsible management.
Accountability
M'Intix Wahdek Foundation is accountable to the communities it serves and to the public more broadly. We take this accountability seriously, recognizing that it is the foundation of public trust. The Foundation maintains appropriate oversight mechanisms and is committed to acting in accordance with its stated mission and values. We acknowledge and take responsibility for our decisions and their consequences.
Transparency
We are committed to operating openly and honestly. The Foundation provides clear and accurate information about its purpose, activities, governance and use of resources. We recognize that transparency is essential to accountability and to the trust of those who engage with us. Where information cannot be disclosed, we are clear about the reasons.
Responsible Management
The Foundation is managed responsibly and in accordance with the principles of good governance for voluntary organizations. Resources — including the time and energy of volunteers — are used in ways that are consistent with the Foundation's mission and that reflect respect for those who contribute to its work. Financial and operational decisions are made with care and prudence.
Ethical Conduct
All who act on behalf of M'Intix Wahdek Foundation — whether as members of the Foundation or as volunteers — are expected to conduct themselves in accordance with high ethical standards. This includes honesty, respect for others, confidentiality where appropriate and the avoidance of conflicts of interest. Ethical conduct is not negotiable; it is a core expectation.
Community Responsibility
The Foundation holds a responsibility to the communities it serves. This means listening carefully to community needs, acting in ways that are genuinely in the interests of community members and avoiding actions that could harm those we seek to support. Community responsibility also means recognizing that the Foundation is one actor among many and engaging collaboratively with other organizations and community members.
Respect
Good governance requires mutual respect — between members of the Foundation, between the Foundation and those it serves, and between the Foundation and the wider community. Governance processes are conducted with courtesy, openness and a genuine regard for the dignity and perspective of all involved.
Good Governance
The Foundation is committed to following the principles of good governance for voluntary organizations in Malta, including clarity of purpose, effective management, responsible use of resources, open communication and ongoing attention to the Foundation's impact and effectiveness. We recognize that governance is not a bureaucratic exercise but an expression of our commitment to the communities we serve.
